Music Outreach Opportunity – A Fresh Way to Reach People
Hello,
My name is Michael McMillan. I am a Christian, a singer-songwriter from Glasgow, and someone who has spent a lifetime connecting with people through music, personal experience and the power of testimony.
For over 50 years, I have been writing and performing songs that speak to real-life struggles—faith, addiction, redemption, suicide, hope, and healing. My journey has taken me across the USA and the UK, with multiple chart successes, award nominations, and even an invitation to perform at The Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas as part of The Nashville Hit Songwriters Unplugged event.
But my life hasn’t just been about music. I’ve served as a Police Officer in Inverness and Edinburgh. I’ve spent 15 years as an Addictions Counsellor working in Scottish Prisons and communities, walking alongside those who felt lost, broken, or beyond hope. In 2024, I was part of Insiders, a hard-hitting play performed in every male prison in Scotland, reaching men who desperately needed to hear a message of grace.
Why I’m Telling You This
God has given me a unique ministry—one that resonates deeply with young people, those outside the church, those who have been hurt by religion, and those struggling to find purpose. Through music, storytelling, and testimony, I share a message of hope in a way that breaks down barriers.
This isn’t a traditional church service—it’s raw, real, and deeply engaging. There are moments of hard-hitting truth, but also laughter and joy. Most importantly, everything I do is rooted in Christian and biblical values.
Churches that have hosted my events have seen people return, ask questions, and take steps toward Jesus. Many have reconnected with faith after years of distance.
Would your church or organisation be open to hosting an event? I would love the opportunity to serve alongside you, reaching those who might not otherwise step through your doors.
Let’s make an impact together.

What Others Say
“ Through his music and testimony, Michael has drawn deeply on his own personal journey to produce lyrics and story’s that resonate with sympathy for those who are struggling and which reveal his own deep faith in God. You will find the classic themes of loss and redemption, despair and hope, sin and forgiveness, shame and grace. It’s all there!”
(Pastor James Glass Regional Leader, Elim Churches Scotland and North West England)
“Michael has a unique gift. He can connect with people from all walks of life and of all age groups through his songs and life testimony. His passion for Jesus and for people shines through all he does both on and off stage. A “real” evangelist with a “real” story to tell. We have seen increased footfall to our church and an increased interest to find out more about the Jesus that Michael knows and follows, after every one of his concerts. You should not miss an opportunity to book him.”
(Rev. Iain MacLeod, minister of Assynt Parish Church of Scotland Lochinver)
“Michael clearly has a real passion for Jesus, for music and for people who are struggling with life, no matter what background they come from. His gift as an evangelist shines through his wonderful songs and heartfelt but often hard hitting lyrics. He has a powerful but engaging story to tell ,and he will tell it to anyone who is willing to listen. Following one of Michael’s recent concerts at our church, more people started attending and inquiring about Jesus. Job done!
I would highly recommend booking Michael if you are serious about witnessing, especially to the broken and sadly often forgotten in our society.”
(Pastor Dave Brackenridge, Senior Pastor of Home Church Scotland)
We have been blessed to have Michael McMillan share his journey with our Lord for the past several years.
He is family to us now! If you get the chance, we so encourage you to hear him speak and sing to your hearts…as God has gifted him to do. His story is perseverance…not perfection. (Welcome to the human race.). His life is founded on his relationship with his Saviour…not the various religious expectations…that left him empty. How about you? His heart is to share how God loved him through the detours we all take Him on…and gets us to where He needed us to be all along…with our story to help others find their relationship with their Saviour in His perfect timing. His songs touch the broken hearts that so desire to be healed…with the gift of grace…not judgement. His invitation is to accept being loved…even when you feel unworthy…because God always sees you as worthy. Do you want more? Trust me…take every opportunity to hear God speak life to you through His servant Michael McMillan…who answered the call. Isaiah 6:8. God - “who should I send?” Michael - “here I am, send me.” You will be blessed.
(Dan Kelly, Pastor of Fredericksburg Cowboy Church Texas USA)
I have known Michael for many years and it was obvious from the very beginning that he has a passion and a heart for those who face major social and personal difficulties and struggles. These are situations that (if we are honest) any of us could find ourselves in, given a different set of circumstances. Michael clearly has a deep faith in God and the commitment he displays to ensuring that his faith is integral to his lifestyle choices and ongoing work, speaks volumes. The songs themselves are all borne out of relationship, experience and love for his fellow travellers in this world, and ultimately his love of God.
Michael’s songs cover a wide range of issues and experiences that cannot fail to move people who share a common love, and will surely encourage those who are themselves struggling.
I would recommend that you waste no time in booking Michael for an outreach event at your Church or Organisation and just watch what God does with it.

“Michaels life is a testament to Gods grace, mercy and love. Michaels heart to change lives through his music, songs, lyrics and personal testimony is extraordinary. Michael is living proof of Gods great love and it is a privilege to know him. Thinking about his life and his Music Outreach Ministry, Isaiah 61 comes to mind. I thank God for you Michael and all you do to further The Kingdom.

“As a Pastor I am always looking for community connections with both people and God. I was thrilled when I was invited to hear Scottish Singer Songwriter and Christian witness Michael McMillan play and share his testimony to our congregation. Michael guided us on a life journey of both despair and ultimately celebration through his life story and walk with Jesus. His songs will resonate with any crowd because they represent true life and the journey on which we find ourselves. Michael has a gift and a real calling, and by using the universal language of music and his powerful testimony, he connects each of us with each other and draws us closer to the Jesus he has come to know.”
(Tim Hall, Pastor of Legacy Church, North Richland Hills, Fort Worth. Texas USA)
"I have had the honour and the pleasure to share a stage with Michael McMillan in the USA and in his native Scotland. Michael has the gift of being able to write a lyric and a song that touches hearts and minds and gets people thinking about "real" life. Through his music, his life testimony and his wonderful sense of humour, he can and does "disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed.”
(Reverend Dr Matthew Williams, Founder of Vet Church USA and retired US Army Chaplain. Matt has served in the war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan
“Michael is a fantastic musician and songwriter. He performed several of his songs as part of our play “Insiders” which we toured around the Scottish Prisons. His words and music really touched the hearts of our audiences and feedback was extremely positive and often mentioned how impressed people had been with Michael’s gift. He is also brilliant to work with, extremely reliable and a great support to all the cast as we travelled the length and breadth of Scotland together.”

We have known Michael for a few years now and have of course listened to his wonderful songs. But his live performance was a real revelation when he came on tour to Ireland in 2024.
We hosted an audience of more than just Churchgoers, because Michael’s performance and ‘life story’ is not just inspiring to Christians, but is engaging and accessible to all people from all walks of life.
Unlike “church” to which we often struggle to invite our friends, family, work colleagues and neighbours, Michael’s performance delivers a “good time” for all but delivers a powerful and ‘real’ Christian message, so we invite everyone !
To be able to write lyrics from such a rich personal faith is a wonderful gift, but it’s more than songs and story’s….Michael gets to the heart of what matters and draws people closer to Jesus. We look forward to him coming to Ireland again….and again!
